Governor Ricketts has announced that baseball and softball can resume in June! We want to thank you for your patience during this time as we navigate all of the updates and changes.
Millard United has been working closely with the Governor’s office, local officials, and the school districts to ensure that everything is in compliance and we are ready for our season. Please keep in mind that these plans are subject to change pending the release of any additional Directed Health Measures that must be followed at the time the season begins.
Our plans for the season are to start practices the middle of June, with games starting after July 4th. The updated season will conclude by Labor Day and will remain similar in structure to a normal spring season. Players will be contacted by the coaches directly once the coaches receive their rosters in mid-June. Once rosters are distributed, coaches will reach out with practice schedules.
We understand that there is a lot of uncertainty about this summer. Millard United Sports is committed to providing a safe and engaging atmosphere for all of our athletes. We will continually monitor any changes or new Directives as the season approaches and will update as new information becomes available.
One of the biggest questions we are getting is how will we maintain social distancing at practices and games.
All teams will abide by all Directed Health Measures in place in order to provide a safe and fun experience. Please view the document below for a copy of the current DHM released by the Governor’s Office. We will continue to monitor these as directives may change. We are currently putting a plan in place and once it is complete, we will work with all coaches to ensure every team is following proper procedures and guidelines.
