MUS wants to help grow the Umpire & Official profession by providing a low stress environment along with multiple training sessions to allow individuals to get a taste of Umpiring & Officiating.

The purpose of this program is to provide anyone ages 13 years or older with a passion for baseball, softball, flag football, and/or youth sports an opportunity to be introduced to the noble profession of officiating.  This introductory program will provide new umpires & officials with a basic fundamental training on how to be an umpire or official in a more relaxed environment in which to hone their craft.  MUS Umpires & Officials will participate in basic introductory training and then officiate MUS Classic Baseball, In-House Softball, Flag, and/or NFL Flag Football games during the Fall and/or Spring-Summer Seasons. 

Through this program, MUS Umpires will be providing a valuable needed service to Millard youth baseball, softball, and football players while getting the chance to make some cash in the process!  More importantly, as MUS Umpires gain experience and develop confidence, they will have the opportunity to move on to more advanced games (older age groups, competitive divisions) to earn more money!

MUS Umpires will be paid according to the age of the games umpired starting at $20 per game up to $40 per game. A concession coupon for post-game refueling is provided when umpires are assigned games.  MUS Umpires will be provided with a flexible schedule and an umpire jersey by MUS. 

MUS Umpires are not required to have their own equipment. Purchasing equipment is optional and entirely on your own.  MUS will have communal equipment provided at most fields for umpires to use.
