This is the basic movements we have been working on that you can use to remind yourself.  This is a few years back after a transplant so don’t laugh at me .   CLICK HERE PLAYERS.  

Catching is not just as simple as sitting back there and giving the pitcher a target.  As a catcher you need to learn how so many different things so you can be successful and help your team.  Here are some basics that will help you and what we will teach.

Athletic posture and stance is vital to anything you do in sports and very important as a catcher CLICK HERE to see how you can  have an athletic stance too.

Stance - we will teach basic skills but major league catcher Brent Mayne has a basic few videos that will help you know what we are teaching.  CLICK HERE for the 3 stances we will call Signal, Primary and Secondary.

Glove Mechanics are so important, please look at this video which will help explaining how you should receive the ball as a catcher.

The basics are so important in being a good hitter.  The start is how to hold the bat and how to stand at the plate and confidence is a must.  Many players at this level are new or never have been taught, so do not be embarrassed and CLICK HERE to Learn   Even if you are experienced it may help you.  So many youth players hold the bat wrong and that is the absolute start you need to get comfortable with.
